Short Bio – Dr. Ken Kelch

Dr. Ken Kelch is a Director of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and the Director of the International Language and Education Center (ILEC) at Alliant International University in San Diego, California. Dr. Kelch received his master’s degree in ESL from the University of Hawaii and his doctorate in TESOL from United States International University.
Dr. Kelch’s primary research interest is ESL teacher training and professional development through the qualitative methodologies.

He also specializes in dissertation supervision of doctoral students, particularly international students for whom English is a second language. Dr. Kelch has published articles in the fields of TESOL and second language acquisition and presented at conferences worldwide.

As director of ILEC, Dr. Kelch is responsible for overall operations of Alliant's ESL program, including policy development, curriculum design and implementation, faculty supervision and professional development, and program evaluation.
